Isai Mottugal - Children Orchestra (chennai Children Orchestra, Chennai Orchestra, India Children Orchestra, India Orchestra)

"ISAI MOTTUGAL" is an Orchestra of performing young artists between the age group of 5 to 15, rendering variety rhythmic program and light music for the entertainment of grand audience under the patronage of DRUMALAYAM founded and headed by Mr. Gopal. At present there are 25 young talented children, among them are dancers, singers, compere and instrumental players.

Isai mottugal 1st program was inagurated in the presence of Dr.J.Jayalalitha, Chief Minister, on 24th May 2004 at the wedding reception of Mr.Pichandi, IAS Officer's Daughter. Followed by that, Isai Mottugal has so far performed more than 50 programs within a span of one year. Among them, they have performed at the Trade Fair, Lions Club Annual Meeting, Wedding Receptions and many other functions.

"ISAI MOTTUGAL" troop went to SRILANKA onbehalf of Lions Club towards "The World Childrens' Day" on 1st October, 2007 and performed a fabulous musical concert.

A special performance was also given before the Governor on the 22nd of March 2007 which gained a lot of appreciation for "ISAI MOTTUGAL".

The 3rd Anniversary was celebrated in a very big banner at the Kamaraj Hall on December 3, 2004. In the occasion Gopal's "ISAI MOTTUGAL", children orchestra was also conducted. Drumming giant Mr. Sivamani and the one and only Sri.S.P. Balasubramanian were the guest of honour and they also performed with the children.

Mr. Sivamani was amazed by the performance of the little musicians and he immediately extended his invitation to them to perform at the POGO AWARD FUNCTION held at Mumbai on December 18,2004.

The 5th Anniversary of "ISAI MOTTUGAL" was celebrated in an extraordinary manner on 19th November 2006 with an excellent musical evening at Kamaraj Memorial Hall. Eminent chief guests S.Janaki and M.S.Viswanathan presided over the function.

The 6th Anniversary of "ISAI MOTTUGAL" is to be celebrated in a very grand manner on 11th November 2007 with an excellent musical evening at Kamaraj Memorial Hall.
